Task 1

Storyboard "Where's Dad?" Linear narrative!

The role of the storyboard in-concludes with Claire's Dad waking her up in the middle of the night. Then, Claire goes to find her Dad in confusion. She then noticed that the back door was left wide open. As she entered outside the house, she saw her Dad digging for worms in his... pyjamas?

A Linear Narrative!

This storyboard is called a 'Linear Narrative', because it's very straight forward. It tells you by getting to point of the story. It's very simple and clear.

A Non-Linear Narrative!

This storyboard is called a 'Non-Linear Narrative', because the story contains a back and forwards in time. Which means that there is some sort of flashback tempting Claire's father into digging worms.

Task 2

My story

My shadow picture idea, was to add a young high school girl, but her deepest secret is being a popular hero.

I was pretty happy with my final result. At first, I originally added lightning to the background to make it more realistic, but I didn't want to go over the top. So, I stuck with something simple, since I didn't want to waste time making it.

So, for my Film Poster I chose a random Marvel Superhero, "Iron Man." I added a range of effects as well, by adding the brightness and contrast.

For the background, I just went with a solid, black one. As for the film title, I just used his name (something obvious), and I added a touch of glow to it. In addition, I added a triangle to the title to represent his symbol. To make it more effective, I used his colour because I think it suits the background. I think this activity has taught me many things. I learnt to use a range of effects by exploring them and finding ways to make my poster even better.

In my opinion, I think it actually looks real. Almost as if it's already been published on social media. I wouldn't really change this. I'm actually happy how this all turned out.
